Governor Jindal also signed legislation which insures that home-school diplomas will be recognized when graduates apply for jobs or higher-education programs that require high-school diplomas. This law is effective August 15, 2010. The text of the bill gives details.
In another victory for homeschool families, Governor Jindal signed into law a bill which allows homeschool families enrolled in the approved home study program to deduct from their state income tax a portion of the expenses for homeschool curriculum.
