 Download or install the following files to keep your computer working properly for eLearningk12. All of them are free. We use the Firefox browser here at eLearningk12 for elementary students. We suggest you do the same at home, but we have included downloads for other Windows-based browsers for your convenience.
Some of these programs have both a free and paid version. Please download only the free version. If the web page wants to give you another program for free, particularly a browser toolbar, please do not install the additional program. Install only the programs listed below.
New computers generally come with a free 30 to 90 day trial of an anti-virus software. These are usually inadequate, and most users forget to register them at the end of the trial, leaving their system vulnerable to viruses and malware. Please download the free version of AVG Anti-virus listed below, then uninstall the free trial software that came with your computer.
Regardless of which browser you choose, you must have an updated antivirus software running on your computer at all times. If you do not already have one, please download and install AVG Anti-Virus. You will also need a program to detect and remove spyware and malware. We suggest MalwareBytes. Both are available free or for purchase.
